FOR SALE 51-54 308 ENGINE ready for assembly
This fiddy-four engine has had all of the machine work done, plus the rotating assembly has been dynamic-balanced too. And, I have about 99% of the new parts needed to rebuild it, such as gasket set, bearings, rings, new pistons, new oil pump, etc..
Losing storage area and failing health are reasons for sale. i.e., it needs a new home.
Paint it the color that you want and need.
Location of parts are an hour's drive South of Memphis, TN, in Sardis, MS, about 15-20 minutes off the Interstate 55.
So,
1) on your next party trip to New Orleans, stop off and pick up the parts and you'll be in great shape with the new engine to power your ride.
2) One option is to put all on a pallet and ship to you. Due to my bad back, I'd have to hire a neighbor at $15 per hour to get things loaded in my truck and I can deliver to the trucking company where a forklift can remove. Crank shaft would have to be boxed&strapped down to pallet; engine would have to be sealed and strapped down also; head might be bolted to block, depending on your requirements/specs. But, it'll get done and done right.
All offers seriously considered. Pls Private Message me herein with details of how to contact you. Thanks
Bob

I'm interested as I just acquired another Hudson - a '54 with a bad engine. Let's chat. I can come after it as I have to pick up a motor in Birmingham and a Hudson 8 in Talahassee soon and I'll be going right near Sardis. My number is 319-624-7044 or you can email me at billiardrules@hotmail.com. Thanks and hope you're doing well. .... Bruce0
