  • More pictures please if you can. I am trying to find my jaw, it's on the floor someware.
  • Ditto to the gorgous etc comments... with such a sparce field of vehicles ... where did this truck originate? The last time I looked at a 36 truck was the Willow Springs vehicle that reappeared forsale on Ebay some years ago.
  • Very nice!!!

Beautiful. Great job. I've been kicking around this club for 40 years now and I really can't remember seeing another '36 pickup - outside of the National in Pontiac last summer. There was at least one there, can't remember if there were any others.

The one in Pontiac was nice, but not as nice as yours.

    Enjoy the ride.

Is your electric hand operational? Also, what is the big round gizmo on the driver's side of the engine next to the firewall?? I think that I have to repaint my engine, yours is entirely to clean.

Isn't that "big round gizmo" part of the electric hand (which is actually a 'vacuum hand')? But... I'm no expert.
  • Thanks for all the kind words, coming from you guy's it means a lot.

It isn't part of the electric hand, could be a vacuum clutch, but I don't think so, maybe it is an after market oil filter?? What say you Scott??
  • Richard,

That is an original Marvel Mystery Oiler that came with the truck. You have an adjustment knob for how many drops of oil you want to set it at, and it plumbs into the vacuum system and lubes your upper valve train.

    I can't get anything by you 36 guy's.
  • Scott,

Gorgeous interior, too! Who did the woodgraining?

Very, very nice.:D Can you tell us about the gauges? They look new, not just repainted? Also the dash knobs look new. Did you have someone make new pieces or are these redone originals?:)

I am looking forward to seeing this truck in person. It looks like a superb restoration. The exterior horns and fender lights are all accessories that were available in '36 and they really add to class of this vehicle. The interior is really nicely done as well, wood graining, instruments, etc., even a radio. Very well done, Scott. Congratulations!
