Hi Everyone, I'm new here. Just found this site and thought everyone would be interested in an old auto repair shop I restored which features a 1937 Terraplane. Here's the link:

I rather think you'll like it. The Terraplane is on several pages.

Enjoy, Thomas

Beautiful restoration job on the shop!

Now, we just need you to do a similar job on the Terraplane....!

It's a beautiful job - but, I don't know. There's something nostalgic about the old cluttered shop. I remember more than a few of those old shops back in the 50's. Anything you needed was "in there somewhere" - and the old guy that owned and ran it knew where everything was. And if he didn't have it - he could make it for you out of literally anything to hand.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. :) I actually like the shop either way. Imagine all the cool stuff that was in there.

    Thomas-

Welcome to the Hudson forum. Believe it or not, your shop and efforts have been here before. Someone posted a link a few months back. I went through all your progress, and it is really an amazing transformation. Congratulations and kudos to you. I think it was mostly posted here due to the terraplane in the yard that you left as "yard art".

For those that didn't check out the previous thread, Thomas bought the place with all the "stuff" included. Something like 44 tons of scrap were removed in the clean-up. I particularly like the fact you kept the nostalgia and a few items, now cleaned up and back in place.

    Great shop and great job!

Hi Russel and thanks for the welcome. I should have known you guys would be way ahead of me on this! Someone mentioned that the Hudson Club should be made aware of the thread with the Terraplane photos and I finally got around to it. Too late it seems though! I'm up to 48 tons of steel recycled off the property and 278 tires with 4 more recently discovered under a bench in one of the buildings I'm just now cleaning out. If any Hudson clubs want to set up a tour of the shop at anytime in the future it's a done deal for you great folks !;) Just let me know in advance and we'll make it happen. I keep adding to the thread so check it from time to time. Thanks again.
