Front Brake Pads For 52 Hornet

I know you can get exchange brake shoes from Dave K. but are there 52 Hornet brake shoes avail at Napa or the local parts store? Is so, Anyone have the part numbers? Thanks, Niels

    Sometimes the brake shoes get boxed wrong. Check the curved part at the top of the new shoes that will rest againt the anchor pin. Check this at the store rather than waiting until you get home. This will keep you out of anger management class.



    You will see that the top of the curve is thinner than the bottom. This will be the correct shoe.

    Most correct Hudson's front long wheel base shoes are no longer available. Ask for #263R, meaning rivet, and then go to my tech tip book, volume two (2), and open page 15 and it tells the story on how to install this brake shoe set. If you do as stated you will have a pedal right at the top and stop on a dime. If at a later date you find a correct Hudson set, you can install it by just resetting the anchor pin as all you have to do is raise the pin. Walt.
