Recommended. 30,000 miles. But if you drive it only once in awhile, change it every 2 years regardless of the miles. It has a filter screen and all you do is wash it and blow it dry with air pressure. If you drain the convertor, refill is 11 quarts, but just changing the oil in the pan is 6 to 7 quarts. Walt.
