Looks, great, Dave. If you are looking for picky observations, I'd say go with a set of YOM plates. Other than that, the radials date the photo later than '51. Otherwise, it's just period-perfection.0

I think "uncolorized" photos are great - I've done that with some of the photos I have that I've put in the on-line albums. I've saved a copy of that one and, if no objection, will add it to my albums.
Which I have to finish posting to my web site one of these days.

No objection Alex. It would be an honor.0 -
Color, Black & White or Sepia toned? It does not really matter. What maters is the subject media. As an example, here is a photo taken a short time ago and made to look old..... Enjoy? (the plate kinda gives it away?)0

I'm thinking that State Farm Insurance didn't have that logo in '51 (in the window in the building in the background). But a great picture.0

Hudson??? What Hudson??? Reminds me of the cheesecake the North Texas Chapter used to put in their newsletter back in the '70's.
However, the New England Chapter has the distinction, back in the 70's, of posting a live topless young lady sitting on the hood of a '49 Hudson - and I still got the picture, somewhere, to prove it.

Alex,Its a 49 C8,currently 308 twin-H powered. I got it from the estate of
Jimmy Stewart.OK,not THAT Jimmy Stewart,but currently owned by Jeff and Donna Lynn.
And we'd be honored to be a part of your online photo album. As a sidenote
that picture was taken in Big Daddy Don Garlits backyard.0 -
Here's one for your collection. I took this picture of my 1920 SX in front of this really cool restored circa 1919, Gulf Service Station on the main drag of Mt. Victory, Ohio. Did the antiqued B&W version as soon as I downloaded the pix off the camera that evening. If anyone would like to take any pictures of their car at this great location, a perfect opportunity would be on Memorial Day during the Annual Memorial Day Antique Car Show in Mt. Victory! ("Shameless Plug".......... See your current White Triangle News Calendar for details!
)
Wish I could figure out how you guys get your pix to come out so large in these postings.These are as large as it will allow me to go.

Hi Brownie,
Glad that you enjoyed the picture. If you would like a higher resolution copy of it for your collection, let me know, and I'll email it to you.:)
The best part of this old station is inside the front office. They have it all restored as well, complete with all the early oil, and lube displays, accessories, roll top desk, hand crank telephone, and even a checker board all set up in the corner with chairs ready for the local cronies to have a match!
If you like old service station pix, you need to check out this link from my favorite website:
