This came in a box of parts I am sorting out to do the 37 build with. I suspect this is an inner fender part? I have two from two different cars, both cut out the same way.

    I haven't had mine out for many years but it sure looks like the driver's side inner fender. The louvered portion is of course where the battery would have gone. Not sure why they cut it out, 'less'n they bought a too-big battery for it!

    Kerry , on mine this would be the drivers side but it looks like it's been cut , mine is louverd completely where it looks like it was cut out . Battery goes there . The passenger side has no louveres and you take it and the tire off and sit there and sweat to adjust tappets hot . BUD

    Both of the ones I have, have been cut out. So I guess the next question is - does anyone have one that I can use to duplicate or purchase to use as is?

    These louvers rust badly because of the battery acid. Perhaps they were cut out because of the rust. You can find new louvers to weld in, find a better panel, rivet some stainless mesh over the hole, rivet a solid piece of metal over the hole. Im in the process of doing the first option, and will be using POR paint in this part of the car. Regards, Barry

    Does anyone have one that I could purchase or borrow, that is in good enough condition to make a duplicate from?
