These are expansion plugs, some call them freeze plugs. Not that hard to take out. I usually just drive a screw driver through the center and pry it out. It's much easier to do with the head off the car. You will find two on each side.
Save one for a sample and take it to a NAPA, or any large auto parts store to match it. When installing new ones, be sure to clean the recessed edges of each hole for a tight fit. You will need to lightly hammer the domed portion of the plug when installing for a tight fit. Hope this helps.
