Can anyone cross reference a Dorman number?

You mean the water jacket plugs? Well I can't tell you for the 212 but if they're 2" plugs just like the stepdowns then I got the number somewhere here.0

Hey Aaron,
Nope. These are barely and inch or so. The seven that I am looking at seem to be mostly in cooling passages on head and block.
Thanks anyway!

Hey 308,
Yes I will measure them. And, I believe they are the small convex type.
Havent pulled one out yet as wanted to make sure I could replace it!
Thanks,

I just replaced all of the expansion plugs in my '40 212. The larger ones in the block are 1", there are 3 of them. The smaller ones in the head are 7/8" and there are 4 of them. The 1" were easy to find. The 7/8" had to be ordered.

Hey Hudson308, thanks yourself. You were the one that pointed me in the right direction. I got mine from NAPA and did not think to ask for a part number.0

FINALLY!
After callin, and searchin I got em!
Correct on the 1" ones they are Dorman # 550-012, AND the 7/8" ones are Dorman # 550-010!
Actually got em off an old machinists dusty shelf in NOS condition but the numbers should still be good.
