Need a generator or armature....

You can fit any generator from '36 through to '55 Hudson. They all have the same mounting bracket and pulley profile, except the Jet, whcih is A-section. However, you will also need the appropriate regulator for whichever generator you use. They all look the same, and only a nit-picker would notice. The advantage with the later two-brush type is better voltage regulation and higher output.0

Thanks, Geoff.
It just so happens that I do have a regulator # VRD-4008B so according to Walts Tech book (Yea Walt!) I can use a 38 or 39 gen also.
Where can I get one?
Thanks!

Jeff, I have a generator that came off my 54 Hornet, believe I also have the volt reg. I've gone to 12 volt and won't be using either. If interested give me a call. Lou Cote :cool:0

Jeff, I have a '36T generator that has been completely reconditioned, it needs a pulley. It has never been used since it was redone. My generator guy actually rebuilt it by mistake, some sort of mis-communication. PM me if you are interested and we can figure out how much I need to get for it.0
