Chrome dash parts paint?

I am sure this has come up before, but what is closest match paint for the chrome pieces on a 51-53 stepdown? Also, do I need to do anything to the chrome to make it stick?

    I use NAPA Argent available in spray can and wipe with vinegar before painting

    There is a spray chrome process , expensive to get into and I don't know of anyone who does it , just the folks selling the epuipement . BUD

    Bud, I think what Don is referring to is the silver paint which goes on top of the chrome dash pieces, like the instrument cluster, the ashtray face and the glovebox.
