terraplane tyre size and diff ratio
Heres my question, the tyres on my terraplane are ancient crossplys,i want to put radials on but the light truck tyres are 6.50 x 16 as opposed to the originals at 6.00x16.
would there be any negative effects(apart from speedo being out) that i havent thought of?
Im keen to try the 6.50s because my ute has the commercial diff,4.5 ratio, rather than the 4.1,so i presume bigger tyres would reduce my revs slightly which would be nice as its revving hard at 45mph.
Am i being dumb here?wouldnt be the first time, any advice greatly appreciated.Skip

The 650.16's will make a minimal difference, but hardly noticeable. Why don't you swap the diff for a standard 4.1 ratio, there must be some around.0
