Need help on trunk seal install
On my 54 Special Sedan I am installing the trunk seal which I got from Kgap. There instructions state that the lower seal should be 5 feet long and go up the sides of the trunk for "about 6 inches". If I cut the seal in a 5 foot length and position it on the trunk. it goes up the sides for a little over 9 inches. So what is it, 5 feet long or up both sides for 6 inches? Does it matter?
Thanks,
Doug

It shouldn't matter, at all. It might make a difference on exactly where you are measuring, i.e., at the beginning of the curve or at the end, for example. Regardless, the "6" " is not critical.0

I just checked my 54 Special Sedan and it does go up about 5 inches on each side. As Russell says, it shouldn't be critical.
