Yep, too many projects not enough time. Looks like a good project for some of our advanced Forum builders.....0

I noticed there is no cut out for the top motor?. Also,I can't tell, but it looks like the chrome molding[stainless] around the outside of the body is missing?.No dash, title, rear bottom seat cushion?0

This appears to be the same car previously discussed on this forum and determined to be a rebodied car. The pictures provided then definatively show the convertible pieces have been welded to another Hudson Stepdown unibody. Other missing attributes... well at the top of the wheel wells... factory sledge hammer dents.
Several recent convertible restorations are based on rebodied chassis.
Is it a 53 Super Wasp?
Is it restorable... certainly.0 -
Hey all,
This is indeed the car from the discussion a couple years back. My father and I have too many projects going on, and don't figure we'll ever get the time to give it the restoration it deserves. Hopefully someone else will step up.
I want to let everyone know that we really appreciate all the input we got from the site when we first started asking about the car. We were originally planning on doing a kind of a retro-rod with the car, but when the forum members got wind of it, we were set straight.
I do wish we could handle the restoration, but it's just not realistic for us to attempt.
Thanks again,
Nick0 -

I was digging through some pictures and ran across a Wasp conv pic taken at the 2007 Yipsilanti Orphan Car show. I am also posting a picture of the same car that I took at the 2009 Orphan show.0

That car was formally owned by Charlie Harris of Springfield Ne. It was sold to a member in Michigan and is now owned by that buyers son. Very nice car!0
