Love the shoes. I am not too big on holidays even tho my house will be filled with family later today. It is a good time to have everyone over. Early this morning I pulled my car out of the shop (had to clean up after yesterday's car show) and drove off to McDonald's for breakfast (0630). Since I live out in the country, the McDonald's is close and a lot of locals drop by and chew the fat in the mornings. I pulled in and parked and even at this hour a small crowd formed. A few minutes later a local business man pulled in with his 1932 Chev, then another local (Mayor of the small town of 2,000 folks) drove in with his 51 Chev. Our plumber was out and about and saw the cars and pulled in with his Model A. We spent about 40 minutes BS'n and eating breakfast and then drove off. What a great way to start a fathers day.... when your kids all live out of state?
  • Took my grandkids(boy 6, girl 3) riding in our 47 Hudson Commodore Coupe 6 on our regular ride thru our subdivision for 15 min and also a tractor ride and a 30 Model A. I think I enjoyed the trips more than they did, but maybe someday they will remember the time we spent together and unless they pursue an old car dream, they may forget.........

Guess we'll have to try harder. HELP

Here's my Father's day--the 29 roadster, my two daughters and my grandson. We drove about twenty five miles to a BBQ and them back home on almost the longest day of the year and there were smiles all around. The grandson was most impressed by casual passers by asking him about the car and the nine year old learned about it and to describe it with pride.

Fathers day in Australia is in September. Our 2 children have given us 3 grandsons. The oldest has just learnt the song - Old McDonalds farm. I sing a verse to him ...and on his farm he had a Hudson. Another grandson loves getting in the 37T that is being restored. He is impressed by the big open space. I get a sore throat making toots when he presses the horn button. Yes its good to share the cars with family and friends, especially on Fathers day. Its sad to see cars sold and leaving the family, unless its coming to my shed. Regards, Barry

    Ivan,

The car looks great. Good to see it out on the road and being enjoyed. I have to think that your father's day was as good as it can get.....
