Exterior Sun Visor

Reference exterior sun visor see pcitures which Allen already painted and installed, view in/out emails exchanged between Allen and my self. My question to Forum am I correct in having under part of visor painted dull or black color to avoid Sun reflections? Also some additional pictures of progress, hope to finish car soon...:)

The majority of the installed visors I have seen follows the manufacturer’s recommendation to leave the bottom side paint as delivered. Flat and green... Obviously this is the owner's decision. For me the reflection off the inside of the visor is distracting in the least and potentially something that could cause you problems driving.

Ray, Ken is right. They were a dull green or a flat black in color. Were painted the same as the vent shades on the underside.0

As always, thanks to both Ken & Bob for immediate input. Another question, as I purchased NOS visorwith new brackets included over two years ago with instructions; does brackets look correct for 1950-1953 models?

Another question, as I purchased NOS visorwith new brackets included over two years ago with instructions; does brackets look correct for 1950-1953 models?
There were two different style brackets for the Hudson Visor. One set was for Stepdowns without stainless trim on the windshield pillars and the other is for vehicles with the trim.
Brackets look pretty much the same... but the difference is the cars with trim require a deeper reach so are longer from the driprail clamp through the area that bolts to the visor. One method to distinguish is to observe the distance from the hole closest to the drip rail. For non trim visor mounts, this hole is very close to the drip rail clamp while the trim type mounts have a visible space between that hole and the drip rail clamp.

I agree, the same color green that you show on your center bracket.
Is your instruction sheet dated? Just curius.
I'm not familiar with the "Fulton", I've only messed around with the "Karvisor". .....For whatever reason,:rolleyes:....they came out with two types. A short and then later a long bracket. The long bracket has a cresent shaped detail line on it. The earlier "short" bracket does not. That's what you have, the short with no cresent. 48-9

Repainted pictures of visor and some others; rain shields I purchased from Walt will be painted same as visor...

That's a fine looking vehicle, coming along really nicely,I have a similar colour in leather that I am doing the coupe in and I currently have yellow trim inside around the window frames and a friend of mine is trying to talk me into wood graining them all and I was going to paint the same color of the leather,
Posting this thread gives me a very good prospective on it all, though they are totally different style of vehicles
