Celebrating my Hornet Coupe
I've now owned "Doc", our '51 Hornet Coupe some 3 months now, and the car already feels like a long-time member of the family. Lots of little tweaking was in order to get the car to the condition where it truly needs nothing now. Everything on the car works as original... all the gauges, clock, even the original AM radio still comes it loud and clear. And the car just drives and handles superbly.
I've written a few lines and posted some pictures on my blog if any one is interested:

Hi Phil,
you are lucky to have a car done by a legend in the Hudson family
you will get many many years of pleasurable driving and the folks on here will easily answer any queries or problems should any arise with the "DOC"
and your blog is very well presented

That's truely a downright beauty! Built by true craftsmen and rebuilt by a Hudson genious. You should be (and are) proud of this car and it's heritage...slim0

Howdy Phil,
We haven't met yet I don't believe. Have you heard of the first annual "Capital Swapmeet" coming this 10th and 11th of Sept. up in Austin?
I just found out about it while i was as the Fredricksburg swapmeet this past weekend. maybe we can meet up there if you go, I don't know if Russell knows about it, I'll call him and find out if he has plans to go.
Nice car and blog0 -
Thanks... keep me posted on the swap meet. via direct email is easier:

Super nice car!! I enjoyed your blog also. It brought back memories of my first Hudson, which was a blue 51 Hornet club coupe, though not nearly is nice as yours.0

Great car and a great story. Enjoy your new member of the family!0

Really nice Phil, lucky to find a Hornet like that put together by a craftsman. The Coupes just look sooo good don't they.
Cheers Mike.0
