I have several overhaul gasket sets for INVADER 168 engines. Original Hudson gaskets , over 100 pieces in each set, including copper head gasket. Also complete engines in crates if anyone is interested. would sell an engine for less than an overhaul would cost, if it needed much work.. $150. for OH set, or $1175. for complete engine in crate. I e-mailed the fellow (using his Craigslist e-mail). Dave Keister has several Invader engines up there in Washington state. Also, of course, there happens to be a National Meet going on right now in the Craigslist fellow's backyard...he should be over there asking his questions.0

Maybe Perry will bring one home for Bent Metals rat rod. Another one of a kind. I believe an Invader engine was on his engine list. Hee Hee
Or how about putting four wheels under it, put a seat on it and ride it like a big quad four.
Or stretch a Hudson PU nose an stick it in.

I was watching a few of the other start-up videos. The one of the B-17 start-up and taxi they broke ALL the rules; no "walking-the-blades" (to clear oil from the lower cylinders so you don't bend a rod - I will give them benefit of the doubt that they did it before they started filming), no fire extinguishing equipment standing by (it is/was very easy to flood those radials on startup, which can lead to fires), no ground crew standing by the engines watching for problems (and keeping interested spectators from walking into the blades - and that happened more than you'd ever believe). I wonder how long that -17 is gonna last.

Hall Scott...0 -
My neighbor has a ton of aircraft stuff(and would be a most awesome
location for a national convention someday;);)). Here is the one that I would
most like to hear run, the Napier Sabre. http://blog.kermitweeks.com/?cat=33
He sent a couple Mercedes basketcases to New Zealand for overhaul and
they have a great website (be prepared to spend some time here)
