Twin H Air Cleaner Paint Color
Hi All,
I am hoping someone out there will be able to help me with a question I have. What is the best "rattle-can" red paint that will match the original deep red color that Hudson painted the Twin H air cleaners. I have seen them painted a brighter red, but the one original AMC Twin H air cleaner from my '55 Wasp and the remaining paint on one of my Stepdown Twin H air cleaners seem to be a much deeper red.
Any help will be Great!
Thanks,
Bob Y.

I couldn't find the deep red you are looking for when I rebuilt my engine years ago. I saw an International Harvester tractor today though and it was the same deep red color you are looking for. Try Tractor Supply or a Co-Op, they usually have rattle-can paint for touching up tractors. I also found that Kubota Orange is the perfect burnt orange color for painting the Fram oil filter canisters.

John,
Thanks very much. I did not think about Tractor Supply or the Co-Ops. Thanks for reminding me about the Kubota Orange for the oil filter canisters.
Thanks again,

I used plastic kote universal red #209, but tru test vermillion is the same. So are most vermillion reds.0
