Does anyone have a schematic of a DB50 radio they can scan and post? I have one for a DB48 but the radios are different. Thanks

  • Is your radio a Colonial or a Zenith? They changed suppliers mid-year as Zenith bailed out of the car radio business at that time.
  • I just checked the radio and only see CH-742 stamped on it. No where is a name printed or stamped. How can I tell which company made it? Thanks

Steve E. is the H.E.T club radio expert. He really knows his stuff.
  • Model no. you posted tells which one, also serial no. would tell. Zenith model no. would be GHXXX, serial no. would have ZH prefix, your serial no. starts CH, right? It's the Colonial radio, later production. I'll see if I have that diagram.

Email me your snail mail address and I will send you a SAMS for 1950 radios. dsollon@comcast.net
  • I checked the ser# tonight and I see it starts with CH (CH-12691) so it must be made by Colonial. Thanks
  • Hey, no problem. I can't scan the diagram but if you send me your address I'll make a photocopy and send it to you. Just found my Colonial shop manual.
  • Hi, it came up on the screen that I had a message from you and then it dissapeared. Can't get back to it. Send an email to steveengel65@roadrunner.com already got it in an envelope for you, just need the address to send it to. Thanks, Steve.
  • Hey Paul, don't know what I did but your message just popped up, so I've got your address. It'll go out in the morning mail.
  • Hi Paul, let me know if you got the radio diagram I sent you. Thanks, Steve.
