Thought I share a couple of projectsin the works;



First is a 53 super wasp convert....was on ebay a couple of months ago.



Second a 49 super six coupe with commadore trim

    So, ever figure out if that Wasp was an original convertible or a clever Hollywood bob-job? Awesome!

    Is that the convert you got from Nick Ellis? If so how good of condition was the metal really in ? Looks like you're making rapid progress.

    Looks like it was originally a 53 super wasp hollywood (has the stock reinforced outer frame rails). Alot like the mods were done in the 80's. But whoever changed it did a nice job and knew what to do(excellent welding). This is probably one of the more solid cars I have had to work with (nice change) Goal by Monday night is to have it rolling...rebuild the front end and rear end.

    The bottom pic of the underside of the car shows a box shaped section between the leading ends of the springs on the drivers side of the driveshaft tunnel. Is the box for a battery? Never noticed the box on any other Hudson. Thanks, Bob

    That box that you are seeing is probably there to house the convertibles hydraulic pump.

    Hey Russ,

    Looks like you had the car acid (caustic) dipped.

    Any tips to the process? I'm about to have my '49 coupe dipped and am worried about all the pinch seams in the car not being neutralized and causing the new paint to lift.



    Looks like an AutoTwirler? Any lessons learned with it? Did you have to fabricate any attachment arms for it to hold the car?
