Shortened Stepdown?

:coo I recall having seen a picture of a stepdown sedan shortened into a coupe. The rear doors had been removed, that section removed from the car and the rear quarter windows seemed to look okay right behind the doors. I think the person used coupe doors, but not sure. I think the car was in southern California, does any one remember such a car?. My youngest son wants to do that to a '49 Commodore Sedan that I gave him. I think it is a lot of work and some what different. Any input? Thanks, Arnie in Nevada.

Isn't that pretty much what they did to create the Doc Hudson car? My understanding is that it started out a sedan.0

That's alot of work just to get a coupe. I would find a good project coupe.0

if your skills are up to par, i say go for it. the rear of the sedan might look pretty cool on a coupe.0

The ad states 1952, however I beleive it's more like a '48-50, and maybe a short wheelbase at that!0
