Thanks for asking.
The color is similar to 1950 Peacock Green. It is actually an American Motors (AMC) color. Base coat/clear coat. Maybe a little "over the top" but sure is photogenic! I think I have the paint number out in the barn somewhere if you are interested..It is more "green" than it shows in the picture. I like your color better.
When I aquired the car it had been painted a tu-tone green based on a 1967 Ford color.. Since the interior had also been reupholsterd in green, I decided to stay close to the color it was when I got it. It is so close to the Ford Green, I didn't have to repaint the door jambs.
My avatar oppicture was taken by a professional photographer for use on a AACA meet participation plaque and a T shirt. She was nice enough to forward the picture to me. I took a picture at the same time with my $400 camera and I deleted it!
You may have noticed that I have added some Commodore trim items to try to upgrade the car.0 -
