New 52 Hudson Hornet Hollywood Questions.
Hi... I just purchased my first Hudson, and I LOVE it. I have been working out the bugs for the past couple of weeks but have come across a couple that I could use some help on...
1. Where is the best place to send the radio off to get a refurb?
2. And advice on getting the clock working? Also, What is the "F and the S" on the clock?
Thanks group!

Steve E on this board refurbs radios.
F and S are for setting the clock fast or slow to regulate it.

Nice car!
I sent the clock from my '51 Hornet Club Coupe to this guy. $79, fast turnaround, and he made sure it was set up for my 12V system. Very pleased with the service and price:

Awesome car. I am currently restoring a 52 Hollywood. Welcome to the Hudson World. Hopefully you are joining the HET club. This is a great group of people to be associated with. Where are you located?

Drop Sam J an email @ HETfortyqtpi@earthlink.net (drop the HET) and ask for a free copy of the WTN. Then you can smile even more!!!! And you won't have to wait quite so long to start receiving the greatest car club publication of all.

Re the clock, verify that you have power to the clock. Remove clock.
Open the clock and you will find contact points , like in a distributor.
Clean the contact points and align, using jumper wires power to the points to see if they will jump and wind the clock. Then see if the clock will run. This may fix it. If not send for service.
Before restoring a radio verify power to the radio. Also verify that you have AM radios stations to listen to in your area. The ones in my area are not worth restoring a radio for.
Join the HET club and chapter in your area = lots of Hudson fun0 -
Joseph,
When you talk to Sam ask him about the Laughlin Economy Run. It is about 60 days away and a great get-to-geather. Would love to see you there for the weekend. We, me and a few friends, will be driving down from here in Utah. Would love to see your car....0
