Lone time HET and Southern California Chapter member Pat Meehan passed away on Thursday September 16th. Pat collected '33 Terraplanes and was one of the original members of the Southern Califorina Chapter.

Pat was a really fantastic person ,with a keen dry wit. He was always fun to be around. No other details at this time. He will be missed by all who knew him in the Hudson community.

HI, don't know pretty much Hudson People since I am quite knew at this forum. But it makes me sad every time cause the people I already have met in this forum are so generous. I think it is a characteristic of most Hudson guys. Looks that we are a big family. And we just lost another member. My prayers will go for him.

Pat was a really neat guy, lots of funny remarks, a very dry wit.

Most of you probably never met him as he seldom left so. Calif. but he came out to L. A. in mid-'60s & was a professional mechanic. A very practical "hands on" type.

He didn't restore Hudsons, felt they should be made practical to be driven & since he, to be honest, didn't have the $$ to make/keep things original, often didn't ( won't forget his Hemi powered '54 cp. - I remember at a swap meet he has his there with hood up & some guy walked by, saw it, & said "I didn't know Hudson had V-8s" to which Pat wryly said "They were an option in late '54").

His real love were the '33 T8s & he had several. Told me about drag racing a Hornet powered '33 T8 conv. in so. Chicago before he went to Korea, said he was never beaten.

    Helluva guy just passed
