30 H Marvel Carby Parts
Hi The high speed metering needle valve and seat on my 30H Marvel carburetor is worn and causes flooding when starting the engine.Does anyone know of a source for these parts. The oldcarburetor shop rebuild kit does not include the high speed metering needle valve, nor were they able to advise on any solution.Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers Stu

Hi Stu,
is your carburetor model #10-783? I may be able to help you with some spare parts. Contact me off-list... fast.da@gmail.com

Hi Del , mine has #10 79o stamped on it. On the old carburetor shop repair kits they list 10-777 as the required model
I understand the needle valve is to limit gas flow to the high speed jets (until the gas is required) The 'needle' on my valve is extremely loose in the "seat" hole. The needle is on the end of a shank which has some numbers around the top end. Some numbers may have been worn off, however 28 is visible, and the accelorator link has 85 stamped on it. I suspect the needle is wrong for the seat? This may explain the rich running I was experiencing earlier before the current engine rebuild?!Any idea/help greatly appreciated

Stu, people are messing with this forum and the email with your address won't show! Maybe you can resend it? I am leaving town until Monday but when I get back I will send those sheets and info to you.
Thanks,
Del0
