I really like the way that the attached pictures in a post display now, and when there are multiple ones, you can scroll through them all with the arrow along the side like on picture sharing sites!:woohoo:0

I was going to ask what the "add file" is, but now I see it below. Lets see if this works. . .

Hey, that's great! All this time I've been procrastinating on learning how to post pictures, but time has shown the wisdom of my strategy- If you bumble around long enough, someone will come along and figure it out for you!0
-
Lets see how easy it is to add pictures.
Oh, I like that - very easy to add pictures, files, whatever using the Add File link at the bottom.

With Alex Burr and Ted Welch's help I found the forum, thank you. It took me awhile longer to find where to login to post a message. I didn't know you had to login at the top of the Classic Car.com link where it says login on the brown part at the top of the page. I do not remember ever using that before.
This format will take getting used to.
Have a good day. Lee O'Dell0 -

The new format is cleaner and is an improvement although I HATE the fact that it will not work on the ipad0

FYI
Change in Technology is always for the good... Its evolution from outdated system into an improved System that we will probably all rave about after becoming familarized....0 -
Change is good!0

The new format looks pretty good to me!
The only comment I would make is that 6 replies to a page is very fiddly (fiddley?), can the moderators bump it up to 20?
Maybe reinstall the preview button so you can be sure that links, photos etc are displaying OK before pressing the POST button.
I never got the hang of avatars in the old system, is this new system easier?0 -

Not having an iPad is what I hate. We will look to this if there is a way to test the format if there is a way for us to do that. Thanks for the info and happy iPadding!0 -
The iPad is great! I really love it! Thanks for looking into the issue...0

Let's see how I go.0

I second the vote for the "preview" button.
Let me try the picture test.
[attachment:1]C:\fakepath\DSC01954.JPG[/attachment]
I got it to insert a picture but when I went to put a second picture in it reinserted the same picture again?
And now I see the option to insert a picture is gone? What am I doing wrong? Can you insert more than one picture in a post?0 -
Lets try again, if I could preview would help.:P
"add file"
"choose pic"
"insert"
"wt..."0 -
[attachment:1]C:\fakepath\DSC01954 (Small).JPG[/attachment]
Do you still have to resize?
What's a fakepath?
It will only let me insert ONE picture.0 -
try again0 -
Looks like I need to read-up on how to attach pics again...arrggh.0

If you don't want your pictures to show as a single attachment, I would suggest uploading them first to a flickr or photobucket account. (HINT: I'm usually multi-tasking and have at least 5 things open at one time, so right now I "only" have both this forum and flickr websites pulled up.) Once you upload your image(s) on Flickr, you should look at them from the Your Photostream page were you can view all the images you uploaded. You can right click on the photo you want to share and click on Properties, then highlight the URL of that photo, right click the highlighted area, and click on Copy. Now go back to the forum you want to post a picture on. After clicking Reply, you'll see the Boardcode section above where you type in your message. Click on the Image Link button, which will pop up a section for you to paste that URL information in. Paste the URL into the white box with the Insert button to the right. You can post several medium size pictures this way just by clicking Image Link and inserting the URL for each photo. This will result in a Medium Size Photo.
OR, if you want a larger picture. From Your Photosteam, Click on the picture to open page with the indiviual picture. Above picture, click on Share This dropdown and click on Grab the HTML/BBCode. Click on the BBCode button on bottom, then copy and the text in that box into the Message box of you Replay on the forum. Do this for each photo and you'll see the following:Speedometer Cable by sadayo, on Flickr

Sounds good to me Sarah - and I don't understand a word you typed.
For me using the "Add File" box at the bottom of the page works!!!

Alex,
You look like a blurry Indiana Jones in your avatar.:woohoo:0 -
I'm going to try this add file route. I have never been able to post a picture before.

Wow! that was easy I'm sure glad somebody figured it out for a dummy like me.
That was my 54 coupe. This is of the mastercylinder for the 54 sedan with the LaBuds disc brake conversion.0 -

Ok, you have all made it sound so easy. PLUS! I already posted some pictures, now I can't seem to do it again?!?!?!0 -
Oh boy, it's a good thing I got a sence a humor.:S
Ok Sarah, I got it now. But I just need to know a couple of things.
First, what's an upstream? Who is this URL? I've heard of "Flipper" the dolphin but who is Flicker? And what's a BB Code?
And I know, I'm not supposed to start a sentence with "and".
Aaaand, one more try. .... grrr
You know? Why can't we just copy and paste??????:silly:0
