Looks like a great subject! Wish I was in the area. Hope Hudnuts in the area know about this and are planning on attending. Would love to hear about it.

Has anyone read this book? I have not had the opportunity.

Author of The Hudson Motor Car Company: Detroit’s Last Independent Automaker will speak at the Rochester Hills Public Library on Thursday, November 11 at 7 p.m. The presentation will examine the lifespan of the Hudson Motor Car Company, from its foundation in 1909 to its merger with Nash Motors in 1954 to form the American Motors Corporation.

Author Hydes book is well writtena and interesting. He raises a couple new ideas that contributed to the decline of the Hudson Motor Car Co. I found no new break thru information, I was hoping for. The author has his facts well organized, and written in a way it makes a good read.

Appears to be Rochester, MI - found one page with a reference to that state.

Nertz!!! I got to picket my local library - they don't have this book and nothing on the Hudson Motor Car Company, for that matter.

Must be one helluva good book - no copies on amazon.com OR alibris.com!!!:(

  • Thanks Alex. I read the article but failed to realize that the location would need more input. Woops.
I search for Hudson Essex Terraplane info on Twitter (laugh if you must), but find some interesting stories and new members from time to time.
