Question re Vacuum tank
My 54 Special that I am restoring does not have a vacuum tank but my 54 Hornet parts car does. Is it worth installing the vacuum tank on the Special? Other than the consistency for the wipers, does the tank serve any other purpose.
Thanks for any feedback you can provide.

The function of the vacuum tank was a vacuum source for the power brakes in case of engine failure, supposed to nhave enough vacuum to allow for three stops before vacuum was exhausted. May have been an option to assist the wipers and would be a good idea now, but as far as I know was only part of the power brake package.0
