DAVE:
MY 54 CARB HAS A TAG THAT LISTS IT AS A WGD 2115-S....is this the same as a 776-s??0 -
2115-s is also right for 262-3080
-
so Can I replace a 2115-s with a 776-s......This is soooooooooooo confusing0

Tom:
To alleviate some of your confusion, the WGD-776S was the standard issue carb on the 1953 Hudson 262 & 308 engines. In 1954 it was the WGD-2115S. Yes you can replace the 2115S with a 776S carb. I don't have a Carter spec book so I'm not sure what internal differences there are between the two carbs. Perhaps someone else can enlighten us. Hope this helps.

I jave a 53 wasp with the 262. I still have the orig carb for it. Ran great when I got it home but I obtained a twin h intake, carbs and canisters for the car. if ya need it make me an offer. I could also send pics.0

yeah, I was going to say that instead of looking of a 776S he should be looking for a pair of WA1's and put twin h on it...
even out the fuel on that flathead, and it looks cool.0
