I've been using RustBullet, but I'm still underway with my project, so I haven't had a chance to put it through the test yet. Definitely sticky stuff...not sure how anything could penetrate it after it's put on!! Just click on the RustBullet advertisement at the top of the page to read about it. Good luck!

Did you consider using some soap to help cut the grease/oil on the bottom of the car. I have been under mine recently and the grease is heavier on the transmission floor pan thsn other places I checked. You may have already done this, if so please delete, thanks, Bob P0

Super Wasp,
If you haven't, you might check the inside of the frame sections. Mine were filled with sand and gravel- had to make various sprayers out of 1/4 and 3/8 inch copper tubing to work through the diferent sectionsto get it out. There are enough drainholes in the underside of the frame to get an idea of how much gunk might be in there. I used POR 15 on the bottom of mine, except for front clip which was done in rustoleum. On my previous cars I used the Eastwood products. Check their website for packages of rust converter and Chassis Black paint. I was very pleased with results on cars, I did and they stayed looking good over time. After the hard work
I wanted to coat with something to make it last. Presently am dong all this work on my AMC Pacer. The chassis black from Eastwood has just the right look, not too shiny.0 -
I strongly recommend getting down as close to bare metal as possible, spray with self etch then epoxy primer-within 24 hrs overspray with Teck II chassy black with some hardner mixed in.If any rust through, cut it out and weld in a patch first.Seems to work for me0
