Thanksgiving

Thanks Richie, same back at ya!

Thanksgiving has always been an important day around our house. In about ten minutes I will go to the shop and start up the 50 Commodore six and drive up to my brothers dealership (notice how careful I was not to mention that it is a Chevrolet Dealership) for the annual family car wash. My brothers and I have been doing this for decades. Today, with the extended family we are expecting around fifteen cars. Whereas the others bring their newest vehicles to show how great the year has been for them. I always bring an old car. After the car wash and a few stories/lies we will go back to my place for dinner and football. We are expecting to feed around forty folks this year with the brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, grandkids and great grandkids. It is always a great time. After the football game we will dig into the pies. There will be more than a dozen this year so perhaps I will get a whole "pumpkin" pie to myself? This is truly a wonderful time of the year--food, family, friends and football--could life be any better?

Happy Thanksgiving to all - tho the day is nearly done - from beautiful Bulverde, Texas. I'm sharing a great day with my "other" family - the Chiltons. If all else fails this works.
