Selling 1952 Commodore 8
I have decided to sell my 1952 Commodore 8. It has a little less than 1000 miles on the restoration and runs very well. Most of the members on the forum have seen pictures of some of the progress and there are pictures in the Classic Car gallery. I would like to have loaded a more recent picture here but for some reason I cannot upload photos to the gallery.
I have lots of photos I can email and descriptions of what I restored and what I consider still flaws. I will be glad to answer any questions and send any photos requested. This is a nice driver not a show car. It would not take much more to produce a nice show car but that was not my attempt. I started to restore this with some modifications but realizing that only 3100 ’52 C-8’s were made and only about 12 left in the club I decide to restore the C-8 mostly to stock specifications. Being on a tight restoration budget and because there are one or two other Hudson projects I would like to pursue I am selling this to look and purchase one of them.
A quick list of what was done: solid body only surface rust underneath before painting,
Rebuilt motor and hydramatic transmission; recored radiator; factory refurbished carb; rebuilt water pump, fuel pump, and distributor; cleaned and sealed gas tank; 90% new rubber; no cracked glass, some replaced; new wiring harness; new headliner; new carpet (balance of blue interior original); blue marble steering wheel with no cracks; new radials; original trunk mat; chrome is fair. There are other items and parts.
I am asking $14,500.00, I may consider reasonable offers.
I am going to list this in the WTN and other publications, but I thought I would list it here first as I consider myself a member of this forum even though I haven’t posted lately.
I can be emailed at dpledford@gmail.com. The car is located in Western PA. I am listed in the HET member’s directory.

Try downloading photos into an on line site like Photobucket and just post the link to pictures.0

I hope the pictures will post so I am kicking this back to the top. What happened to the post preview icon?

Very nice '52 Commodore! Wish I lived a bit closer to take a good look at it. Your price seems to be reasonable based on the photos displayed. Hope you sell it soon!0
