You can get perfect repros of these from C & G Ford in Escondido (they are online.) However they mount with two screws instead of one!

The C & G Ford catalog shows two holes. Click on the link below, then click on "1932-56 Car & PU". Next click on "32-56 Car & PU". Then enter 40-702420-A in the Search Box at the top of page.

So I guess that the Hudson door pulls have one screw and the Ford's have two?? I will have to make a trip out to the garage to confirm this. I some of each!!

Thank you, that made it real easy. I ordered set for less than half price one used one that needed plated sold for on Ebay a couple of months ago.

Glad I could help! C & G Ford has a lot of stuff that works for Hudson. Early Fords were 6v positive ground like our Hudsons and there are a lot of items that Ford and Hudson must have gotten from the same suppliers. It is always worth checking.
  • Geez Dave,
Your not really going to put FORD parts on your Terraplane are you? I don't think the doors will close properly now. We may have to drum you out of the Terraplane Corps for that. Your just not spending enough money on this Truck.

I doubt that Ford or Hudson made the pulls. Outside suppliers made parts for all auto makers. It was nice to find the pulls. They are well made.

I don't know, Scott. I have restored a lot of Hudson;s and it seems I am spending more and faster on the Terraplane than i did on the others. maybe because I don't have any pre-war parts.
  • I know what you mean, when I was doing my 36 it seemed like every time I turned around it was another few hundred dollars. The 36 is probably one of the hardest years to restore because of being a one year only vehicle. I use to say the only thing that interchanges with a 36 and other year models where the tires.
I was just kidding you about the door pulls, they look great.
  • A question for Scott. Is that your Stearman? I finally got
around to taking a picture of my 36 PU with my Comanche.
    Howard
  • Hi Howard,

    Yes, that's my 1944 Boeing. Is your Comanche a 250 or 260? 400?
  • Scott, My Comanche is a 1959 250 that I have had for 27 years.
    Howard
  • Howard, can you post the picture of your pick up and Plane?
  • Scott, I don't know how to add an attachment.
