The transmission in your 1954 is a standard Borg-Warner manual transmission. A T85 I think. These transmissions can be rebuild by anyone who rebuild manual transmissions.0

Hi, your transmission is a B-W T 86 not 85. The T-86 has a top cover and the 85 a side cover, T-85 is a much heavier duty trans than the T-86. The only Hudson that used it was the 57s. As was already said , anyone who rebuilds std. trannys can handle the job. If you want another trans, contact Jason @ Vintage Coach, Tues. to Sat. 8am to 5pm. 909-823-9168.0

Looks like you need something local because of freight huh. Did you put a notice in the Cork Clutch, contact Jim Harmon's son in law, Dick Riggs, or Lou Cote' ?
Just wondering why there is nothing local?
