In an earlier post our friends from Toowoomba seemed pretty optimistic. I hope everybody's safe and dry.

    G'Day Sam,

I have done a ring around and most of our guys live up higher in the hills , so are in no danger, these floods are devastating to say the least, the floods are through the main street of the town, we had a Hudson rally up in Toowoomba a couple of years ago and it's hard to believe what is happening in the town that we visited for just on a week. our thoughts and prayers are with the people from that area.
They are safe , but, far from dry.

Dominos with cars comes to mind!!
  • woke up this morning after 4 days HEAVY rain to find a normally dry creek that runs through our property ten feet deep and cutting us off from leaving .Absolutely no danger, and its already subsided enough to get out but it shows how quickly you can get stranded.
Victoria is copping the tail end of the QLD rain, its nowhere near as bad,no lives lost, but still a wake up call.

Must have by passed New South Wales as we have had beautiful weather the last couple of days, hope it lasts a few more days, American car show on Sunday and hope to take the '42, then, 26th Jan the BIG day in Sydney for all makes and models, they block off several streets in the city for our show, expecting over 1100 cars, the streets become wall to wall with onlookers.
  • The show in Sydney is great and well worth the time we spent there in 2004. Lots of unusual makes and utes of all makes. We liked the way most were divided up by makes, some werent, but made it easier to find what you wanted to see first. Thanks for showing your cars there and others that came to show theirs. A really nice show and most were glad to let you sit in their cars. Nice museum near by and shops too. Thanks for an enjoyable (long) day. Bob & Betty P
