Clear glass lens?

Anyone have any idea what these may be? They are clear glass and 5 3/8 inch in dia. at the base. If you turn then upside down they look like an ash tray but the writing would be backwards.

    Good question!! I have one on my desk with paper clips in it. Have no idea what it was used for.

  • You have to get a good grip on the hot glass to lift it off a pan, or flip it onto the floor with a fork. LOL

    It was probably made by the Hudson Glass company. I have had several "Hudson" headlamp lenses given to me over the years, which don;t fit any modle Hudson car, but when you look closely you can read in very fine script around the periphery "Made by the Hudson Glass company". I forget where they were made.
