I watch the Auction news on a regular basis and have decided that Hudsons are not that often brought to Auctions. Perhaps this is why they remain such a good value in the market place? I have noticed that prices are up on muscle cars and somewhat down on Classic Cars? Go figure?0

Prices are up on muscle cars because those that grew up with them, and couldn't afford them at the time, have now reached that level where they can afford the cars of their dreams.
They don't associate with Classic Cars so the demand for those has diminished. I grew up during the era when Model A's and others of that era were popular - popular to the point that at one time, and may still be able to, you could literally buy a Model A Ford off the shelf, in reproduction pieces. As the years pass the desire for cars of the era one grew up in becomes stronger as we try to recapture our youthful days.

As you may know, there was a 37 Hudson Terraplane at the Russo Steele Auction. Nice appearing car with solid body in what was said to be pretty much original condition, except for a mediocre paint job. Don't know what was offered but car did not sell since bids failed to meet reserve. Seller wants $20,000.

Overall I thought the auction went well this year. Got a ton of money for charity and set some new high end prices. Anyone have a nice 58 Chevy Convertible or a 56 DeSoto convertible in their back barn?0
