John didn't specify which carb or Hudson year he was looking for (tsk-tsk!, John!). According to my Hudson Repro Parts page http://www.detailedconcepts.net/Repro_Table.pdf , Vintage Coach has the 1937-47 2 bbl. carb heat shields. They also carry them for the Twin-H setups (in pairs).

Please let me know if they no longer carry one of these, so I can remove them from the list!

(Thanks, Lee, for discovering the flaw in my link! Just fixed it!)

    Hi Jon B,

I got a message that said "Sorry, the page you were looking for could not be found" when I clicked on your Hudson Repro Parts page link. What went wrong?

Lee, it looks like when you click on Jon's link, it is adding a "," to the end. Backspace and remove the comma and it loads fine.

The error must have been corrected. I am able to access the link now.

I checked with Jason at Vintage Coach and he does not have any 2 barrel heat shields available.

They are easy enough to make with a minimum of tools. I made up a bunch of them - unfortunately that was back in the 1970's (back in the dark ages!!) All I had to hand was a pair of tin snips - forget now how I cut the holes. I used lightweight galvanized tin. Worked fine. Maybe not as fancy as stainless steel, but..........

Surely some one over there can help you with one of these, if not, I think I have a couple of second hand ones in the garage.
  • Would appreciate someone posting a picture of a heat shield.

Here are pics of the heat shields for a 202 Twin H

BTW The shields are on the intake upside down. If there are only two ways to assemble something I will ALWAYS do it wrong the first time.
