This is not Hudson and was going to put in the rod section but I thought might like it and bring back memories





Just put this on and will start the show itself turn up your speakers



Someone did an awesome job putting this together

and with sound to boot. At the very end of the video

you'll hear the song ' Thunder Road ' sung by the star

of the movie for which it was the theme!

Not uncommon except this is the one and only song ever recorded, for publication,

sung by Robert Mitchum!
( It's at the very end)

    Not true - Mitchum made several albums and cut several records - check this out http://tinyurl.com/4l7g2jb I have the "That Man" CD and that has 26 cuts on it - Mitchum has an awesome voice.

    Great video! When I was in high school a few of my classmates drove neat cars, but me .... I got to drive a 1949 Ford pickup that often had a partial load of odiferous silage in the bed. :sick: And while the smell often attracted attention no one seemed interested in sharing my ride. In fact as I drove down the street many people acted like they had just smelled a skunk :woohoo: ... I simply continued on hoping no one would connect my ride with the odor. :whistle:

    Thanks for posting. All I can say on bringing back memories is ditto, ditto, except our dragstrip was on highway 188 between the river bridge and the creek bridge on 18 foot wide highways with curbs. The cars were 48 chevy, 49 ford, 50 plymouth,54 chevy, 49 Hudson 8 (That was mine)coupe, 55 chevy,55 ford. No money to buy anything newer. PS I beat them all in the 1/4 mile.

    I got my licence to drive legally in 1959. My daily driver was a 52 coupe but never raced it. Dad was always building a car to take to the drags at Bonneville. I do remember out in the barn was a 32 (chev) roadster that was falling apart from wood rot so we tacked all the doors togeather as well as the fenders and rumble seat. Torched the springs. Put a 52 Chev 235 six in it and painted it with a paint brush and I drove it to hear the Beach Boys at Lagoon (near Salt Lake City). Their song that was hot then was Duce Coupe. I actually thought that made me neat? Little did I know back in those days.....
