55 years later back in a Hornet
In 1956 my Uncle Ray and his wife Texie bought the 51 Twin-H Hudson Hornet my Dad bought new. A year later he had to sell it. Last October when I bought my 52 Hornet with his help, he was chomping at the bit to drive it. Even his wife was anxious to go for a ride. I gave him the keys to the car and off the three of us went for a ride. They were having a great time cruising around the Las Vegas area.
Here are a few pictures of the beginning of what turned out to be a hundred miles of cruising. That was fun as well as hearing about there rememberances as newly weds with their 51 Hornet 55 years ago.

Great story Lee. Put a sparkle in their eye and a spring in their step, I'll bet.

Great! Made their day, week, year. That's what it's all about. I got my first Hudson in 55. A 49 Super Six (which I wrecked). Another 49SS a year later after we were married which served us for 8 years, then a 52 worn out coupe until 54.
In 98 I found a good restorable 49 Commadore, then a 36 Terraplane, then a 47 Pickup, then a 52 Hornet. Have fun driving one of them almost every day in season.0 -

Look at her sitting right next to him, just like in years gone by, hard to do that in the new cars now that they all have 'birth control seats in them".And yes the sparkle in her eyes.
