52 Hornet Carpet Color?

What was the standard carpet color on a 52 Hornet? (I'm thinking gray or brown?) My Hornet seats and side panels will be redone in the original brown / gold stripe pattern from SMS and then sewn with the brown vinyl. I need to determine what color carpet. Maybe a dark or med brown color? Dash and metal trim is redone in the original brown leatherette. Car is red. Headliner will be the original ivory color. Thanks

    I have only seen brown in 52's

    The original carpet was a brown "hogshair" carpet.. not a loop pile carpet..It appeared to be clipped to about a quarter inch in depth. This carpet was avaliable a few years ago from Bill Hirsh.

    Also, the headliner should be a light brown rather than cream

    I redid a 52 Hornet Sedan a few months ago and the original headliner was tatered and rotted out. I pulled multiple sections out from the seams and to my eye, it was closest to ivory. Just sayin.

    My headliner color on my 52 was called Taupe and it was wool or mohair. It had the brown interior.
