Does anyone know where I can get a pair of beige(bone) caps that hold the ornament to the steering wheel part# BZ-301197 are they reproduced?

I'm curious about this thread myself. I'm lucky enough that my wheel ornament is in pretty good shape, but I'm always looking for spares. I do know there were two different versions made that look identical from the outside, but the interface between the center section and end pieces changed.
  • How do you tell the difference between the to styles used, should I post the size of the ones I have now?

The only way to tell the difference is to remove the center assembly from the wheel, and look at the underside. From the outside they look identical. I'll try to get some pics loaded of the two variations I've seen.
  • Do they come in different colours or was the bone colour the only one? Thanks

I've never had any dealings with this vendor, but have noticed their website over the years. They USED TO have that early Hudson steering wheel emblem listed as a reproduction. I noticed a couple of years ago, they removed that item from their menu. So as far as I know, I don't believe anyone is reproducing these. Also, I believe all of these emblems were the same color. Ivory molded in color for the endcaps, and a back-painted clear plastic for the center section.

Here are the two different types I've picked up at swap meets. There are considerable differences in the mating surfaces between center and ends. I wish I had the end caps for the other style, but one can imagine what they must look like from the backside.
  • Which type came out 1st and was one better than the other?I think time just made the plastic smaller so they don't hold the center part anymore
