I assume you saw the posting in the Hudson Forum, in January, about the '51 Commodore conv't for sale in WV? But, I guess you're intent on a Hornet!
  • Vance:
Just wondering about the "dead or alive" comment, just how far can they(or it) be dead? I will be looking, but your ears/eyes are closer to the ground than mine, just kidding. Hope ya'll are doing OK, we keep check on you by our daughter. What about the comments made prior to the last shuttle launch? Bob

I have a 51 Hornet Cv project for sale. It is not cheap. It has been taken to bare metal and painted in original Jefferson Green lacquer after replacing floor pans a minor rust in the driver's door skin and frame bottom. It was a complete driving car when I dis-assembled it six years ago.
New top, new wiring harness, Chrome all done. I paid over $20K for the car and about the same for the perfect paint--backside, jams, everything. Inner fenders, firewall supports, radiator supports, inner fender panels powder coated black. Complete Twin H engine (not rebuilt) and correct single range Hydramatic that the car drove in with.

If you (or anyone else on this forum) think you want to finish this kind of "front line" restoration and are willing to invest what it takes, you can email me at: ivanz62@comcast.net
