Things been moving slower than I'd like on the coupe as the glass guy has been dragging his feet but the body guy is finally getting some of the stainless mounted

... note that the paint is not shiny due to color sanding

It's looking good. I see you got the backlights you wanted. What's with the blue tape? Looking forward to seeing it completed. Are you going to put the NASCAR license plate brackets on?

    Have a great day.

  • Hi Lee,

The guy is tapeing the stainless in some areas to see where it fits (his first Hudson). The backlights turned out well. I had to reuse the black rubber spacers but freshened them up. Definately will have the license plate brackets!
  • Not to be smarty, but wouldnt it be better to color sand with trim OFF? RD
  • Yeah, I think he was trying to figure out how the side trim goes on. It's a B**** to put on w/o damage.
  • The windshield stainless is put on the opening before glass is installed. Apply a thin line of sealer into the opening before you press it on. Then the 2 center stainless on the center post and use body DUM-DUM to seal both ends. If not it will leak in a rain storm if you drive your car in that kind of weather. Walt.
