Wanted 36 Terraplane running board edge trim

I havent seen any on restored cars. They get damaged very easily. I have seen people use the rubber/plastic outside door moulding that is often used on modern cars. Regards, Barry0

FYI
Ive utilized a long shiny aluminum rocker panel moulding from an early 1980's model Olds Seden that fit nicely on my running board sides but of course it isnt original. I also have used the the 3m Tape on plastic chrome moulding that looks decent....0 -
Just wonted to clarify what I am looking for. It is the steel piece that bolts to the outside edge of the running board that continues the half round bead from bottom of the front fenders to the rear fenders. Mine are rotten. If a good pair can't be found I will have to try and make them from sheet metal.
Thank you0 -
Before too long I too will have to figure something out for that piece. I'm probably going to make them, how long are yours?0

This bead is stamped integrally into the edge of the runningboard on our '36 Hudson. It is apparently different on the Terraplane. Any close ups and profile pics.0

I think you can possibly check with Dave Sollon. He might have a picture of what their supposed to look like. CG0 -

Dave, thanks for posting the pics. It appears that there is 2 different types?. I can't really tell by the pics. Thanks again for posting.0

only difference is half rounded part is to end in front to line up with fender and it is rounded off a few inches before end of running board. This piece has bar 1/4" x 1 1/2" full length, that adds strength to running board and holds rubber mat in place.
this is front
this is rear
