No Hudson building plants here, some came fully assembled, others had bodies built on them here in Australia. In the 30's most bodies built here were built by Ruskin and contained a lot of wood , unlike the US bodies which were all steel.

Are any cars built down there now or are your cars imported from other contries ? And if you import cars from the USA do they have RHD? Thanks Ron
  • Hi Lea, Great to see my old maroon 47 convert that I restored years ago. still looks good. an orig Calif car SI did a frame up on and sold to Frank Illich, of Runaway Bay, australia. I know he passed away, but glad to see the car is still there. I have cars all over the world that I have done and am proud of every one. BILL ALBRIGHT

    G'Day Bill,

Yes the car is still in good nick, funny thing though, the guy who owns it believes that the car came out new with the later motor in it.LOL.Can not convince him otherwise.

There is only a couple of automobile makers here in Australia now, most are imported, and yes they all arrive here RHD, unless someone imports one personally.
