 Anyone have a magic combo of privacy and security settings that will prevent having to sign in every time you come on the site? (Windows XP, Explorer 8)

  • The Explorer part might have something to do with it.

Are you checking the Remember me box every time?

I use Mozilla Firefox and have been very happy with it (free download).

Not sure if Explorer has a similar feature that can be turned off or on, but when I log onto any site and enter my password, I am prompted as to whether I want my computer to remember my log in information...

Yes, I do click the "Remember Me." It's nothing to do with Internet Explorer per se ... it worked fine until a month ago.

I normally arrive "signed in", but recently I've noticed that I'm sometimes asked to sign in. Usually, at the top of the page I'm welcomed by my username but this no longer seems to be the case. (I was able to post this message without signing in, so I guess it recognizes me.)

:cheer: C'mon, gang ... bail me out here. A couple of folks who don't have the problem, look at your cookies and other privacy/security settings and let me know what you're using. Otherwise I'm just going to give up on the site.
(Wonderful, you say? ... now that's not neighborly! LOL)

Two days ago, magically, the system began keeping my log-in active when I've left the site, then returned. No changes made to my PC settings, etc. Hmmmm.
