Hi Guys! Could not wait to post the first pics of the garage I will be renting for my car. For those who know me a little, I bought my 54 and a 53 ( for parts) last year without having a garage. Was able to find storage space for the 2 cars but it was 100 miles from where I live. This morning I left Montreal at 5h30 and arrived safely here in Compton. The garage is now at a 5 minute walk from home. There is some work to finish on the garage but it will be ready pretty soon. I will share the place with my friend's son who is 18 and have a 75 Chevelle to restore. ( Will try to convert him into the Hudson religion,,,)We will have 30'X60' to share. The Hudson had not been started since last november and fired right away.
It will be a pleasure to work on it. Have you notice the fixtures on the ceiling? I think I will be able to find a needle on the floor... Michel.

It's a happy day when a Hudson has a garage!

Keep the photos coming as you make your build.

Thanks guys! The feeling I had when I took the pictures this morning was as strong as another fellow could have with a Ferrari in a very neat garage. But Hudson is Hudson! It was worth the wait indeed! Michel.

Congratulations on a great acquisition. :woohoo: Now that law kicks in - accumulation of Hudsons, parts, etc is something like 3.5 times the square feet of the garage. What that means is you take the square feet and multiply it by 3.5 (30x60x3.5 = 3,150). That 3,150 is the square footage of the Hudson stuff you accumulate!!!
Since you only had 1800 square feet to start with - well, you get the picture!!!

    FYI

I never forgot what it was like to not have a garage..... I agree with HudsonTech, beware having a lot of room because it can turn into a collection area for Hudson's & Parts.......Seems that we cant have just one Hudson and never know when might need a part......
Seriously, Good luck with your Project...

Garage? I didn't even have a driveway when I lived in downtown Toronto. I rented a garage, first for my '55 Chevy pu, then my Hudson (the one I've had for 26 years) from a little old lady near my inlaws house. Garages were going for $50-75 a month around there then, but my deal with her was that I paid her 'phone bill every month. It was around $8.50 a month over the years. I wasn't shorting her, either...she bragged to all her friends that "Mr. Jackson gave me a free phone." Thankful to have a garage and a couple of acres, now, though...
