I have a friend that just finished restoring a 54 super wasp 4 door. Does anyone know how many they made or are left? He is a member of the HET club but, not active due to his work. I told him I would put this on the foruum to see if anyone had this information.

Well, there is only one in Québec, Canada. Seriously, would it be possible for your friend to post some pictures of his restoration? I am very interested cause I should be beginning the same process this year. Thanks, Michel.
  • I will see what I can do. He lives 60 miles from me. He is a over the road trucker.I dont think he has a computor. I will get a picture from him and post it. This will take some time. It is That light green with a Ivory top and he has painted the bottom of the back fenders ivory. Sharp looking car.

There are six 1954 Super Wasp convertibles in club Convertible roster. If you know of any 1954 Hudson convertible, please e-mail me serial number and I will make sure it is listed.

Sh.t! I was just finishing answering this post and I clicked on "logout" instead of "Submit". So, again, Thanks Jerry fot the pic. Mine is blue too but it looks almost the same blue as the other Hudson behind the 54. To: 1951hornethardtop: I will be wainting for the pics of your friend's 54. And Dave, be sure you will get noticed if I come across a 54 convertible. Michel.

There is NEVER a dumb post! :P

BTW, Aaron's '54 Wasp used to be mine before I bought it from Gus.

    Love the BLUE one.
  • I now have the picture of the 54 Super Wasp. If you send me your e-mail address i will forward it to you. Otherwise I will have to wait for one of my kids to come over and show me how it is done

    Here's my e-mail address: HETjodoinmichel@gmail.com ( drop the HET)
As soon as I get the picture I can put it in here if you want. Thanks again, Michel. P.S. I have notice that you guys put HET before your e-mail address and specify to drop it after. I did the same just in case but I would like to know why do we have to do this. A technical procedure maybe? Thanks, Michel.
  • Putting the HET before your email address is just a simple way to stop spammers from getting your Email and sending you all kinds of crap. Drop the HET and you have the correct email address.

First, thanks BJ for the info on email address. I am glad I put it this way then. I received the picture of Larry's friend Will. This used to be Larry's car and sold it to Will who restored the car. And Larry got Will to join the HET Club. Thank you all, Michel.

While we're on the subject of email addresses, how do you "drop the HET"? You can't edit someone else's message. If you click on it, it shows up in the address line of a new message, and I couldn't figure out a way to "edit" it at that point.

Probably something obvious, but that wouldn't be the first time.

I always make my address "un-clickable"- mmittge at compprime dot com.

To Mike: I am not a top in computer things and neither a top in english. I suppose when they say: Drop the HET it means that you don't write it in the e-mail address.
And now, fot the word "edit". I don't even know what it means and what it does if I would click on it! But I read and read and I learn from all of you guys everyday. Michel.

Good question, "edit". We're all learning something from others sharing their knowledge. When you click on edit you can make any corrections and additions to your post, then click "submit". I hope this helps.

Thanks Lee. And that's a good thing to be able to correct with the @edit@ function before submiting. And you are right when you say we learn from sharing knowledge. Since I began to come here about every day or so, I was able to learn more about Hudsons. I had some knowledge about stepdowns but I love what I am discovering with Terraplane and Essex. 2-3-4 of june will be my first regional with the Hudsons by the Hudson meeting in Albany N.Y. I am sure I will meet extraordinary people there. Michel.

You can also "edit" your post even after you have summited it. I tend to do that alot.

I'm glad to hear you are going to your regional meet. We got back this afternoon from our Western Regional Meet. We had a wonderful time.

I hope you will attend the International Hudson Meet in Okla. this July. It's one of the few times East and West coast HET'ers can come together 1/2 way in the middle of our country without having to drive clear across the country.

    Have a good day.

I was just trying to figure out a way to "edit" the other guys post to remove the HET from the web address, without just retyping the address. But I guess there isn't a way (you can only edit your own posts, not someone elses).

Not a big problem- just wanted to learn something! Heaven knows, I know little enough about these computer gizmos, every little bit helps!
